Netflix’s The Wrong Missy: Starring Lauren Lapkus – Review

Netflix’s The Wrong Missy: Starring Lauren Lapkus – Review. What if this is Rama screen covering movies TV and entertainment and here’s my review of Netflix new movie the wrong Missy. Let’s rock this first up I would like to say thank you to Netflix for granting me the screener to this new film David Spade David Spade. What are we gonna do with you man long gone are the days of Tommy Boy and black sheep.

I could sit here and tell you that David space latest movie The Rock Missy is much better than the do-over or father of the year. I could sit here and tell you that the wrong Missy is a hell of a great romantic comedy but if I do that I would be lying through my teeth. The painful truth is the experience of watching the wrong Missy is kind of like poking your eye with a very dull knife.

This latest train wreck is unfunny uncouth and unbelievably annoying and 80% of the time David’s made himself does not look like he wants to be there directed by Tyler Spindel David Spade plays Tim Morris who meets his dream girl and their relationship quickly escalates through texts.

She throws caution to the wind and invites her to his company’s corporate retreat on an island resort. However when a pass blind date from hell shows up at the airport for the weekend getaway. Instead, he learns too late that he’s been texting the wrong Missy co-starring Lauren Lapkus Nick Swardson Jackie Sadler Molly Sims Sarah Chuck and Rob Schneider look I’ve said this a thousand times.

While I respect the fact that Adam Sandler giving his best friends a role in his movies or in their own movies. That Adam Sandler produces after years of one awful film after the next especially now that they’re playing in Netflix pong you kind of know what you’re getting before you even press that play button.

Here’s my impression of your expression here we go again another Sandler produced movie. This latest one particularly is major headache-inducing David Spade plays Tim who had a bad date with the character Missy played by Lauren lapkus but then Tim stumbles upon a hot woman who happens to also have the name Missy played by Molly Sims Tim wants to take the hot Missy to his corporate retreat where he has to impress his boss for promotion but instead he inadvertently takes the other Missy from the previous bad date.

The title the wrong Missy get it get it awkward laughs. I’m starting to think that it must be so easy a boost of self-confidence even to get your script acquired and greenlit by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison productions because apparently quality storytelling is not on the top of their priority list.

Review

The jokes in this movie are excruciatingly outdated somebody needs to tell them that we are not in the 90s. Anymore Lauren Lapkus is actually a very funny woman go check out her stand-ups on YouTube. She is hilarious so I got nothing against her personally I interviewed her once years ago for her other project lovely woman.

Her performance in the wrong Missy is the perfect example of when you want to tell somebody to tone it down a little the whole time. You feel like you just want to shout at the screen the old saying of less is or less is more. I get it though I get that the comedy in this film would have Lauren endure physical extremes.

She’s basically the Chris Farley of this movie tumbling down falling and tripping and bumping into things getting drunk acting maniacal and most importantly making Spade embarrassed. She just overdoes it man and there’s not a shred of endearment within it and lastly if there ever was a glint of joy that we used to receive from watching David Spade in the past well now that joy is nowhere to be found even spade himself can’t hide it the man is simply just going through the motion.
